Visual Timetable Software

In our experience, visual timetables are often introduced into classrooms as a means of supporting an individual child with their ability to cope with change. Then a transition takes place. Other children, without special educational needs, attend to and use the timetable. Soon enough the timetable becomes part of the class routine.

You will notice that in our visual timetables we like to use images that are appealing. They resemble cartoon/computer animation and have a familiar style for any child used to watching TV or playing video games. Our lesson prompts include several pieces of information bound together into one prompt - a main lesson picture, a 'backdrop', some lesson text, four slots for additional prompts (in our example 3 equipment slots and one social prompt). As you can see above the prompt is able to convey a lot of information without being confusing.

You have some editorial control over each aspect of the prompt and the fact that you can import pictures for the main lesson picture or equipment/social prompts means you can really personalise this as much as you want.

The majority of our pictures are purpose built for the timetable and have been based on the National Curriculum at Key Stages 1 and 2. So you should be able to cover most topics/areas of learning.

We provide a selection of characters for the prompts - each lesson prompt has been duplicated for all the different characters.
